"Wholesome." This should be a word used to describe bread. Not women.

Wild Acorns

Ingredients:
1 Acorn Squash
1 small head of broccoli, coarsely chopped.
1 zucchini of summer squash, coarsley chopped.
2 TBS Earth Balance butter
Wild Rice Rice-a Roni
1 tsp Vegetable boullion
2 TBS Brown Sugar
1 yellow golden delicious apple, coarsely chopped.
2 light life italian sausages, coarsely chopped.

Heat oven to 400
Half and seed squash, and place face down in 1/4"of water. Cook 30 min.

In a small bowl, mix 2 TBS brown sugar, 1 tsp vegetable boullion, and 1/3 cup water.

In a large skillet, brown rice and sausage in butter.
After rice and sausage are browned, add water and seasonings as directed on Rice-a-roni box.
Add zucchini and broccoli.
Boil and reduce to simmer for about 20 min, covered.
Remove from heat, add chopped apple, cover.

Remove squash from oven after 30 min, flip. brush with brown sugar mix, and pour remaining mix into holes.  Cook upright for 10 min.

Remove squash, fill with rice mixture. It won't all fit, so put the rest into the pan around the squash. Bake another 10-20 min until squash is soft.
